Can I sell my repair shop and the building together?

Owning the building gives you choices. You can sell everything at once, or sell the business and keep the building as rent. Selling both together is the simplest way out.

If this sounds like youYou own the business and the property under it, and you want one clean exit.

Your options

What you can do.

OPTION 1

Sell both in one deal

One closing, one buyer, and you're done.

OPTION 2

Sell the business, lease the building

Monthly rent, but you're still a landlord.

OPTION 3

Sell the building later

Sell the business now and the property when the time is right.

Before you decide

What to watch for.

  • Get the building valued on its own, not just as part of the shop.
  • Have your deed, survey and any environmental papers ready.
  • Ask the buyer whether they want both. Many don't.

Questions

Quick answers.

Is it better to sell the building or lease it?

It depends on whether you want a clean break or monthly income. Selling ends the work; leasing keeps you a landlord.

Will a buyer want both?

Some only want the business. Lotus wants both, and it makes the deal simpler for you.
